CITY GUIDE
Find cigars in San Jose.
San Jose does not have one cigar strip where everything is packed together. The better sit-down spots are around Willow Glen and The Alameda, while the shops spread west toward El Paseo de Saratoga and Stevens Creek, south through Almaden and Blossom Valley, and east toward Evergreen and McKee. Around here, it makes more sense to pick the kind of stop you want first — lounge, serious humidor, or quick cigar run — then choose the part of town.
GO DEEPER
A few useful ways to explore San Jose.
Aborn Cigarette Evergreen
Smoke Shop · Evergreen
Aborn Cigarette gives Evergreen a local place to buy cigars without crossing town. The public inventory is not detailed enough to call it a deep cigar shop, but it is a useful option for the east side of San Jose.
Blossom Hill Smoke & Vape
Smoke Shop · Blossom Valley
Blossom Hill Smoke & Vape is a simple South San Jose cigar stop along the Blossom Hill corridor. Cigars are part of the mix, making it useful when you want something close by rather than a dedicated cigar-shop visit.
Cigarettes Plus
Smoke Shop · Santa Teresa
Cigarettes Plus is tucked into Santa Teresa and gives far South San Jose an easy cigar-buying option without heading back toward the center of town. Knockout Cigars lists the shop as a retailer, which gives us at least one specific cigar name to go with the broader inventory.
Club Havana Premium Cigars
Cigar Shop · West San Jose
Club Havana is the shop to know on the west side of San Jose. Tucked into El Paseo de Saratoga, it has a strong humidor and a premium lineup that includes many of the major names serious cigar smokers look for.
Discount Cigarette - Meridian
Smoke Shop · Cambrian
This Meridian Avenue shop is a small Cambrian tobacco stop with cigars, and Knockout Cigars lists it as a retailer. It is best for a quick neighborhood run rather than a dedicated cigar outing.
Discount Cigarettes - Bird Ave
Smoke Shop · Willow Glen
The Bird Avenue shop is a low-key Willow Glen-area tobacco stop with cigars, and Plasencia lists the shop as a retailer. It fills the quick-pickup role in a part of town that also happens to have two of San Jose’s better cigar lounges nearby.
Discount Cigarettes - McKee
Smoke Shop · East San Jose
The McKee Road shop is one of the better late-night cigar-buying options on the east side. It advertises a broad premium-cigar selection and stays open later than most traditional cigar shops in San Jose.
Houdini's Smoke Shop
Smoke Shop · Downtown
Houdini’s is a Downtown option for when you need cigars later than a traditional tobacconist stays open. Think quick pickup near the city core, not a place built around sitting down and smoking.
LG Cigar Club
Cigar Lounge · Willow Glen
LG Cigar Club gives Willow Glen another true sit-down option. It is BYOB, allows indoor smoking and carries a premium-focused selection, making it a better fit for hanging out with a cigar than simply grabbing one on the way home.
Mission Pipe Shop
Cigar Lounge · The Alameda
Mission Pipe feels like an old-school San Jose tobacconist in the best way. It sits on The Alameda, has indoor smoking and a covered patio, and carries the deepest cigar lineup we found anywhere in the city.
Monsters of Rock
Smoke Shop · Blossom Valley
Monsters of Rock on Blossom Hill Road sells cigars alongside its broader smoke-shop lineup and stays open late. It works best as a South San Jose pickup when convenience matters more than a traditional tobacconist experience.
Smoke Shop Boulevard
Smoke Shop · Stonegate East
Smoke Shop Boulevard on Tully Road advertises a large cigar selection and stays open later than most dedicated tobacconists. For East San Jose, it is a useful buying stop when you do not need the full lounge experience.
Smoke Zone
Smoke Shop · Blossom Valley
Smoke Zone sits down in Blossom Valley and gives South San Jose another easy place to grab cigars without driving toward Willow Glen or The Alameda. It is a smoke shop first, with cigar inventory mixed into the broader tobacco selection.
Smoker Friendly - Almaden
Smoke Shop · Almaden
Smoker Friendly on Almaden Expressway is one of the more convenient cigar stops for South San Jose. It carries premium cigars, stays open late, and saves you the trip toward Willow Glen or The Alameda when you are already down south.
Smoker Friendly #1
Smoke Shop · Cambrian
This Camden Avenue Smoker Friendly is a straightforward Cambrian tobacco shop with cigars and late hours. It is the kind of place that makes sense when you are already in the neighborhood and want an easy pickup.
Spartan Smoke Shop
Smoke Shop · Downtown
Spartan Smoke Shop is a Downtown tobacco stop where cigars are part of the regular lineup. It is useful if you are already near the city core and need a cigar without making the drive to Willow Glen or The Alameda.
The Bee Hive Smoke Shop
Smoke Shop · Cambrian
The Bee Hive is a neighborhood smoke shop in Cambrian with cigars in the mix. It makes more sense as a nearby buying option than a destination, especially if you are already moving along Union Avenue or through South San Jose.
Total Wine & More - Almaden Ranch
Almaden
Down at Almaden Ranch, Total Wine is another practical cigar pickup rather than a destination shop. The store has a cigar humidor, which makes it handy when you are already making a beverage run in South San Jose.
Total Wine & More - Stevens Creek
West San Jose
The Stevens Creek Total Wine is not a cigar destination, but it is useful when you are already shopping this side of town. The store has a cigar humidor, so you can pick up a cigar along with wine, beer or spirits without making another stop.
West Coast Cigars
Cigar Lounge · Willow Glen
Just south of central Willow Glen, West Coast Cigars is one of San Jose’s easiest places to make a full cigar night out of the stop. There is indoor smoking, a big outdoor yard, BYOB and a walk-in humidor, so you can shop first and then stay awhile.
