HERFIO GUIDE
Best Cigar Shops in San Jose
For serious cigar shopping, San Jose has a small group of shops that are worth going out of your way for.
THE SHORT VERSION
Mission Pipe has the deepest lineup we found in the city, Club Havana is the strongest pure shopping stop on the west side, and West Coast Cigars and LG Cigar Club let you shop and stay for a smoke. If you are hunting for a particular brand instead of just the nearest cigar, start with these four.
Mission Pipe Shop
The Alameda
Mission Pipe has the deepest cigar selection we found in San Jose, backed by the shop’s own published list and a real tobacconist setup.
Mission Pipe feels like an old-school San Jose tobacconist in the best way. It sits on The Alameda, has indoor smoking and a covered patio, and carries the deepest cigar lineup we found anywhere in the city.
Worth knowing: It is also a lounge, so this is more than a grab-and-go cigar counter.

West San Jose
West San Jose shop with a shop-published premium lineup spanning major brands and humidor availability.
Club Havana is the shop to know on the west side of San Jose. Tucked into El Paseo de Saratoga, it has a strong humidor and a premium lineup that includes many of the major names serious cigar smokers look for.
Worth knowing: There is no clear on-site smoking setup here, so think shopping rather than lounging.

Willow Glen
A strong premium selection, walk-in humidor and lounge setup make this one of the city’s more complete cigar stops.
Just south of central Willow Glen, West Coast Cigars is one of San Jose’s easiest places to make a full cigar night out of the stop. There is indoor smoking, a big outdoor yard, BYOB and a walk-in humidor, so you can shop first and then stay awhile.
Worth knowing: If you only want to shop and leave, the lounge features may be more than you need.

Willow Glen
Cigar-focused shop and lounge with premium inventory, house cigars and a Plasencia retailer listing.
LG Cigar Club gives Willow Glen another true sit-down option. It is BYOB, allows indoor smoking and carries a premium-focused selection, making it a better fit for hanging out with a cigar than simply grabbing one on the way home.
Worth knowing: The published brand list is shorter than the top three.
See the full place profileHow we made this list: We gave the edge to cigar-first businesses with the strongest shop-published selection and humidor depth. A smoke shop selling a few cigars does not outrank a dedicated tobacconist just because it is convenient.
Editorial picks are separate from paid placement. Policies, hours, and cigar inventory can change, so the individual place pages show the underlying research and verification details.
