Diebel's is the retail heavyweight on the Plaza. La Cultura has one of the deeper lounge inventories in town, and Sherri's backs the 39th Street lounge with a broad cigar list of its own. KC Smoke & Vape has a legitimate premium section near Westport, while Cyn's, Outlaw and Gomer's South give you stronger options once you get away from the Plaza/Crossroads side of town.

If you are going to the Plaza specifically to buy cigars, Diebel's is the obvious place to start. The selection is one of the deepest we found anywhere in Kansas City, and this is much more about working your way through the shelves than finding a lounge chair.

La Cultura is one of the easiest Crossroads stops to recommend when you actually want to stay for the cigar. You can smoke inside, the humidor runs deep and the brand list is one of the strongest in town. This is a sit-down cigar place first, not a quick in-and-out shop.

Cyn's sits on Troost at 57th and is built more like a true cigar room than a quick shop. You can smoke inside, there is a walk-in humidor and the selection is geared toward premium cigars. Just know that membership is part of the setup, so this is more of a planned stop.

Premium selection, large walk-in humidor and house cigars in the Northland.
Outlaw is one of the more complete cigar stops north of the river. You can smoke inside, the walk-in humidor is big, the selection leans premium and there are house cigars too. If you live in the Northland, there is not much reason to cross the river just to find a serious cigar shop and lounge.

Gomer's South on Holmes is one of the better liquor-store cigar stops in South KC. There is a humidor and a more serious premium-cigar selection than you usually get from a bottle shop, which makes it useful when you do not feel like driving back toward Midtown.
