HERFIO GUIDE
Sacramento cigar lounges worth sitting down in.
Sacramento’s true lounge scene is small, but the three places that make the cut each work for a different kind of night.
THE SHORT VERSION
Casillas and Hatuey sit a few blocks apart in Richmond Grove, so 16th Street is the easiest place to compare two real cigar lounges in one trip. Steampunk gives Downtown a different option, especially when you want to stay out later. If the goal is to buy a cigar and settle in for a while, start with these three.
Casillas Cigar Company
Richmond Grove
Indoor smoking, premium and boutique cigars, a humidor and house cigars make Casillas the most complete traditional shop-and-lounge setup in the city.
Casillas is one of Sacramento’s better true shop-and-lounge stops, tucked into the 16th Street stretch in Richmond Grove. You can smoke inside, the humidor runs deep, and the mix covers premium, boutique and house cigars. This is a place to browse, pick something out and actually stay for the cigar.
Worth knowing: Closes earlier than Steampunk, so this is better for an afternoon or early-evening cigar.

Richmond Grove
Hatuey pairs indoor smoking with its own cigar lineup and sits just a few blocks from Casillas on 16th Street.
Hatuey sits on 16th Street in Richmond Grove, just a few blocks from Casillas, which makes this the closest thing Sacramento has to a small cigar cluster. The shop revolves around Hatuey’s own cigars, with indoor smoking, a humidor and a premium house-driven selection.
Worth knowing: The cigar program is centered on Hatuey’s own products rather than a broad outside-brand wall.

Downtown
Downtown location, indoor smoking, food and reservations make Steampunk the easiest lounge on this list to build into a later evening.
Steampunk is Sacramento’s clearest downtown cigar lounge. Indoor smoking, food and reservations make it easy to turn into a full evening, and the later hours separate it from the traditional cigar shops that close earlier. This is the downtown choice when sitting down matters more than humidor depth.
Worth knowing: The current named-brand list is much thinner than Casillas or Tower.

Editorial picks are separate from paid placement. Policies, hours, and cigar inventory can change, so the individual place pages show the underlying research and verification details.
