HERFIO STATE GUIDE
Cigars in Texas.
Cigar lounges, shops, bars, restaurants and other cigar-friendly venues across Texas.
Arlington
Arlington gives cigar smokers several different ways to do the city: traditional indoor lounges, an outdoor cigar patio in the Entertainment District, restaurant-and-cigar options, and a surprisingly deep retail bench. The strongest cigar-first stops are Arlington Cigar, The Reserve, Tobacco Lane, Smoke Chemistry Social and Hearsay Arlington; broader retailers fill in the rest without being treated like true lounges.
Austin
Austin’s cigar scene is spread all over the city: old-school tobacconists, polished lounges, South Austin hangouts, downtown rooftops and a few bars and restaurants where a cigar actually fits the setting. Herfio keeps those options in one place, with the smoking setup, humidor details and cigar selection spelled out before you make the drive.
Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi works best when you think of the cigar scene in three clusters: Downtown for a full cigar-night experience, the South Side for shops and humidors, and North Padre Island for premium retail and outdoor smoking. The city also has several practical cigar pickup stops, but Herfio keeps those separate from true lounges so you know what kind of visit you are making.
Dallas
Dallas has a little bit of everything for cigar smokers, from Bishop Arts boutiques and Oak Lawn lounges to private clubs in the Design District, Uptown retailers and late-night spots downtown. The scene is spread out, so Herfio focuses on the details that matter once you pick a part of town: where you can smoke, what the humidor looks like, whether there is a bar, and which brands we can actually back up.
El Paso
El Paso gives cigar smokers a mix of full-service lounges, humidor-first retailers and a few useful outdoor smoking options. Downtown is the strongest cluster for cigars and drinks, while shops across the city carry a surprisingly broad premium selection. Herfio only includes places inside El Paso city limits here; Fort Bliss and Canutillo are treated separately.
Fort Worth
Fort Worth’s cigar scene leans relaxed and social, with neighborhood shops, BYOB lounges, downtown cocktail-and-cigar spots and bigger destinations up toward Alliance. Herfio keeps the list inside Fort Worth city limits and breaks down which places are built for sitting down with a cigar versus simply picking one up.
Houston
Houston’s cigar scene is as spread out as the city itself. You can find traditional tobacconists in the Galleria area, neighborhood lounges in the Heights and Third Ward, BYOB-friendly rooms on the west side, private clubs, full-bar cigar spots and specialty retailers across town. Herfio keeps Houston proper separate from the suburbs and shows what each place is actually set up for before you head across the city.
Lubbock
Lubbock is a compact cigar city with a few strong anchors: Good Karma near Texas Tech, Smokers Haven for deep humidor selection, Rollin' Smoke for a full-bar lounge, and The Funky Door when dinner, drinks and a cigar all need to happen in one night. Game day matters here, so the useful question is often not just where to buy a cigar, but where to go after the Red Raiders are done.
San Antonio
San Antonio’s cigar scene is spread across the city, with traditional tobacconists on the north and west sides, full-service cigar bars downtown and around The Rim, private-club options, and several whiskey-first venues where a cigar is part of the night rather than the whole point. Downtown and the River Walk are strongest for cigars with drinks; Stone Oak and the north side have more cigar-first lounges and shops.
